Stimulus? "Get it Up America" Job Creation Bench Press
NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- If all you had to do is "get it up" to help create jobs, would you do it? Most people would answer yes. And that is exactly what The Foundation for Job Creation is hoping supporters will do. Maybe not exactly the way you are thinking about it right now, but in a different way. The Foundation for Job Creation, www.jobcreation.us, on December 13, 2009 is conducting a healthy fun Virtual Bench Press contest www.benchpresscontest.com and an attempt at a Guinness Book World Record. Cash Prizes add up to $14,000 and all contestants get in the Guinness Book when the Foundation sets the World record. The Record attempt is for the "most weight lifted cumulatively" in a weightlifting event by all participants. The general idea behind this event is to allow people to do something tangible to get tangible results for Job Creation. Individual registration is now for a limited time as low as $10-$20, team registration is $100. Forming a team is a great way to get your school/organization to develop some unity and spirit, earn some funds or it is a good entrepreneurial way for you to possibly make some money. Contestants should register now on-line at www.liftAmericaUp.org or at www.benchpresscontest.com to take advantage of registration before fees increase.

The Foundation is hoping that people support the event and realize how this entrepreneurial non-profit is approaching the creation of jobs. The Foundation's sole focus is promotion through innovation and idea development leading to prototypes that will create investment opportunity hence creating real manufacturing jobs. Founder of the Foundation Mark Nejmeh commented, "America only needs to listen, support, and present idea development more rapidly to change the innovation and investment environment in the US. We are looking in blue and white collar alleys to support the hard hands and pure breed entrepreneurs that are in all industries and all walks of life in this country. This Foundation, operating on the fringes of University circles also hopes to attract many innovative students and Professors interested in Job Creation, micro economics, science, and technology, including those from community Colleges. This environment is intensely entrepreneurial and provides opportunity to the people that are not being listened to currently. We are looking for the ideas that come from driven capitalist hope and practicality. We will tie these idea creators in with knowledge from the talented underutilized creative engineering community in this country. We are looking for the new Henry Fords. They are here in America and we are trying to help them."
The Foundation for Job Creation is not funded by the government or any other foundation. This entire event is its first entrepreneurial and creative attempt at getting this unique grass roots operation to functionality. The Foundation plans to open its first Idea development office in Harvard, Illinois. The Foundation hopes to have 5 facilities across the country and gain support by other outside sources and is always looking for volunteers. It will be required by all entrepreneurs to share with the Foundation upon the success of their creativity/technology. The Foundation has no desire to have ownership or control over the technologies after the ideas leave the Foundation's assistance, however we are not an incubator, we will only provide a sink or swim environment. The Foundation's goal is success for the entrepreneur/creative, the perpetuation of this Foundation, and Jobs. If the intellectual property or process innovation does not support Jobs domestically, then the foundation is not interested. Areas of interest are renewable energy, entertainment, low-tech/high-tech industry, and biotech. The Foundation hopes to build a versatile laboratory/testing facility for creating prototypes.
The preliminary qualifying lifting and the day the Guinness World Record will be attempted by all participants is on December 13, 2009. Participants are asked to go to their local gym, school, or place of exercise and with spotters perform their lifting attempts on December 13, 2009. They are then asked to log on to www.liftAmericaUp.com or www.benchpresscontest.com and enter in their best max lift plus their (reps x weight lifted) to get their total score. Anyone has a chance to win since this is a unique contest that combines brute strength with endurance. The computer will tally all weight lifted by individual, by team, by military base, by state, and by the entire country. Team and military base winners will be determined on December 13, 2009 with prize money issued to winning base and team of $3,000 and $5,000 respectively. There is no limit to the number of members on each team however winning team must supply notarized affidavit of certified witnessed lifts before money is issued to the team organizer. Team members can still compete individually. The top ten lifters in the following categories, Men, Women, Disabled persons, and active military will be invited to NYC for the Finals to be held on December, 20, 2009. Prize money in each of these categories is $1,500 each. We will be publicizing the strongest state and military base and presenting an award.
